The Nunhead Framer is an independent picture framing business based in Nunhead, London.
This notice explains what personal information I collect, why I use it and how I look after it.

Information I collect
When you contact The Nunhead Framer or ask me to carry out framing work, I may collect:
your name and email address;
correspondence relating to your enquiry or framing project;
photographs of your artwork that you send or upload;
details of your framing requirements and specifications;
your framing job number; and
information relating to payments for your framing project.
I only collect information reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, prepare an estimate, carry out your framing project, take payment and maintain appropriate business records.
I do not use customer information for marketing or mailing lists.
How I use your information
I use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare estimates and framing specifications, manage your framing project, communicate with you, arrange artwork drop-off and collection, process payments and maintain appropriate business records.
I may also keep details of completed framing jobs so that I can refer to previous work if you return in the future or ask me to reproduce an earlier framing specification.
I generally process this information because it is necessary to respond to your request and, if you proceed, to provide the framing service you have asked me to carry out. I may also retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations or for legitimate business purposes.
Website and Essential Framing
This website is hosted by Squarespace.
If you submit information through the website, including through the Essential Framing service, Squarespace processes that information to provide the website and form service.
An Essential Framing submission may include your name, email address, photographs of your artwork and your chosen framing specification.
Website form submissions are sent to my business email account, provided through Google Workspace.
Business email for The Nunhead Framer is provided through Google Workspace.
If you contact me by email, your email address, correspondence and any photographs or other information you send may be stored within my Google Workspace account.
Framing records
I use FramR by FSL Software to prepare framing estimates and maintain framing job records.
These records may contain your name, email address, job number and framing specification.
Keeping previous framing specifications allows me to refer back to work I have carried out for you, for example if you later want another frame made to match.
Payments
Card payments are processed using PayPal Point of Sale (formerly Zettle).
Payment information required to process your card transaction is handled by the payment provider. I do not store your full card details myself.
If you choose to receive a digital receipt, you may provide your email address through the payment service.
Google Reviews
This website uses Elfsight to display Google reviews. When the reviews widget loads, Elfsight may process limited technical information associated with your visit in order to provide and operate the widget.
Sharing your information
I do not sell customer information.
I use a small number of service providers to operate The Nunhead Framer. Depending on how you interact with the business, your information may be processed by Squarespace, Google Workspace, FramR/FSL Software, PayPal Point of Sale (formerly Zettle), and Elfsight.
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are required under applicable data protection law.
How long I keep information
I keep personal information only for as long as I reasonably need it.
Business and financial records are retained for the periods required for accounting, tax and other legal purposes.
Framing job records may be retained for longer because they provide a useful record of previous work and allow me to identify or reproduce a previous framing specification.
Email correspondence and artwork photographs may be deleted when they are no longer reasonably required for the framing project, business records or related enquiries.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information in certain circumstances. These can include asking for a copy of the information I hold about you, asking me to correct inaccurate information, and asking for information to be deleted or its use restricted in certain circumstances.

If you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled, you can also make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
