I specialise in bespoke framing for works on paper, photographs, objects and canvases. There are a few services I don’t offer -

• Re-glazing for broken glass

• General repair work to frames such as damage from transportation or dropping off the wall

• Stand alone mounts / frames or cut glass

• Textiles, such as samplers

• Sports shirts framing

• Large items over 1 meter

Repair work and particularly large piece require more workshop and storage space than I have available, so I concentrate on complete framing projects.

I am always happy to discuss a project if you are unsure.

I offer bespoke picture framing, with each project priced according to the size, materials and framing request.

My bespoke frames are made to order and include hand finished timber frames, specialist finishes and a range of conservation quality mounting and glazing options. I work to Fine art Trade Guild framing standard, using appropriate materials and techniques to protect and elevate the work being farmed.

For items that don’t require the full bespoke level of care I am developing a more streamlined range of framing options. More information and pricing will be available later September 2026.

Please email me with a picture, size, general details and any design requests you might have and I cn provide you with an estimate and stating design.

Estimates are valid for two weeks as materials and costs change regularly.

Please email me with the following information:

1. A description of the item.

2. The dimensions (height, width, and depth, if applicable) of the total 'paper size'.

3. A picture of the item.

4. Any thoughts or preferences you have for the frame

If the work was purchased online from a gallery, a link to the artwork can also be useful.

From this information I can suggest an initial framing approach and provide an estimate. This can then be refined during a studio consultation if you decide to proceed.

I aim to respond to enquires within four working days.

If you are happy with the initial estimate, the next step is to arrange a studio consultation where I can see the work in person and we can review and finalise the framing design.

If getting to the studio during normal hours is difficult, I can sometimes arrange an early morning or evening drop off, with the remaining designs details agreed by email. For more delicate or complex work, I recommend an in person consultation.

Once the design and the final price are agreed, a 40% deposit is required to book the project into my schedule. The remaining balance is due when the work is completed.

Deposits become non - refundable 24hrs after the in person consultation.

If you have a Gift Certificate please mention this in your enquiry and bring to the consultation to redeem it.

All consultations, including dropping off and collecting work, are by appointment only.

Consultations gives us the opportunity to review the proposed design together, look at frame, mount and glazing options and assess the artwork in person before the final design is agreed.

Consultations are usually around 20 minutes per item. If you think you may need longer please let me know when booking.

As I work from a small studio with machinery, I can only accommodate one customer at a time. Children and dogs cannot be brought in the studio.

Appointment availability varies, so please refer to my current opening hours when arranging your visit.

Lead times vary depending on the project and my current workload.

I will provide an expected lead time with your estimate and confirm this when the work is booked in.

Please let me know when enquiring if you need the work completed for a particular date. I will always try to accommodate deadlines where possible, but these need to be agreed before the project is booked.

I accept all major credit and debit cards, including ApplePay and GPay. Please note that I operate as a cashless business.

A 40% deposit is required to book in a project, this deposit is non-refundable. The final balance is due before the completed work can be received.

To redeem a Gift Certificate, please provide the unique code and recipient name when first contacting me. Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash or used as a deposit and are not valid if expired. Please bring the actual Gift Certificate with you when attending the consultation or dropping off the work.

When your work is ready, I will contact you by email to arrange a collection time. Your framed work will be wrapped and ready to take home.

Please consider how you will transport larger pieces, as framed work can be heavy and may required suitable vehicle or someone to help you.

If you are travelling by taxi, please arrange your return journey before arriving for collection. As the studio is part of my home, I am unable to provide a waiting area after your appointment. The Waverley Arms pub is opposite and a convenient place to wait if required.

I don’t currently offer delivery service.

As studio space is limited, I ask that completed work is collected within seven days of notification unless agreed otherwise. Work left beyond this period may be subject to a storage and handling charge of £5 per day.

Frames need to be handled correctly, when lifted they should be held the right way up and held with one hand on each side of the frame.

Avoid holding the fame just from the top, this can stress the corner joints.

When storing frames, they should be laid on its back or leaning against a wall, bottom to top. Do not stack or store other items on the frame.

Avoid stressing or flexing the frame which might cause the glass to crack.

When hanging its best to use two fixing points this helps with levelling the frame but also reduces stress.

Don’t hang work in direct sunlight, above a radiator or other heat sources or in areas of changeable humidity such as bathrooms.
