How does Essential Framing work?

A simpler way to frame - Essential Framing puts you in control. Choose from a range of selected style options for a more streamlined professional framing process that is simpler more affordable.

01 - Choose your size

Choose from one of the standard artwork sizes from A5, A4, A3, 30cm x 40cm, 40cm x 50cm, A2 and 50cm x 70cm. Mounting and frame options vary depending on size. Artwork may be up to 10mm smaller or larger than the stated sizes; the frame size remains fixed and the mount is adjusted accordingly

02 - Choose your Frame

Choose from four wood effect finishes - Black, White, light Oak and Wenge - in 15mm, 20mm and 30mm widths

03 - Choose your mounting

Choose how your artwork is presented - Window Mounted, Float Mounted, Shadow Float Mount and Close Mounted. Essential point margins are predetermined according to artwork size and mounting style and cannot be customised.

04 - Choose your glass

Standard float glass is included, or upgrade to ArtGlass AR70 for significantly reduced reflections and improved clarity.

Why upgrade? - ArtGlass AR70 is low -iron more neutral colour and has an anti-reflective coating that reduced reflections to around 1%. It also blocks approximately 70% of UV light, but is not conservation grade glazing.
